A new singer wants to heal our land

A singer and songwriter, UniekGrace also known as Funke Ojo-Emessiri, who grew up in different countries like Nigeria, Italy, Switzerland, Angola, North America and Belgium where she resides now with her family. UniekGrace started performing at different events in Begium and England in 2012 and that was when her first single “Jesus is Real” was released. Buhari will hold his first media chat tomorrow

Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari will host his first Presidential Media Chat tomorrow Wednesday December 30th, 2015 by 7pm. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, states that the chat will be broadcast live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Also, the president will answer questions from a panel of journalists on a broad range of current national issues.

Stop Giving Oxygen To Boko Haram Insurgency- Lai Mohammed

Minister of Information , Lai Mohammed   has advised the media to  " stop giving oxygen to the Boko Haram insurgency , ” He said this during Sunrise Daily on   Channels Television about the government’s progress with tackling terrorism . Mohammed said: “Just as I said in my meeting with the newspapers editors in Lagos on the 21st of December, the military has largely met the deadline to defeat Boko Haram, and the military has matched the capacity of terrorists to carry out the attacks they used to. Of course, I also mentioned that the terrorists will continue to attack such targets as markets, motor parks, entertainment centres and houses of worship; and this is exactly what is going on. We know that in an insurgency, the war does not end in one day. The attack on soft targets will continue, but we also want to appeal to the media to stop giving oxygen to the Boko Haram insurgency. Army arrests female suicide bomber

Press statement from the Nigerian Army At about 8.00am two suspected female suicide bombers exploded themselves at Madagali Market in Adamawa State in which 17 people were killed and 44 others injured. Similarly, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Major General Lamidi Adeosun, has shed more light on the suicide bombings in Maiduguri, Borno State where by 26 people were killed while 85 others were injured on Monday morning at a news briefing. It should be recalled that 14 female suicide bombers attempted to attack Maiduguri, Borno state capital on Sunday but were repelled by gallant troops. He revealed that tenage female suicide bombers tried to force themselves into Maiduguri with the intent carrying out massive and coordinated suicide attacks using 4 different routes into the city; Asuwari, Mulai Kura, Baderi village Nine Damboa Road and Jameri village.
