Don Jazzy cries over Linda Ikeji's engagement

Mavin records label boss, Don Jazzy has reacted sadly to the engagement of popular blogger, Linda Ikeji. The frontline singer took to his Instagram page, few minutes after congratulatory messages pop up on the internet about the blogger’s engagement to express regrets. Instead of Don Jazzy like other celebrities congratulate Linda, he posted a photo of himself crying about it with the company of his friends, then wrote: “Kai Linda is engaged 😢😢. It is finished.” Most times Don Jazzy has always give a clue of being the lucky man to put a ring on the blogger’s fingers. Now, he is not the man to wed her. Linda Ikeji is yet to react to this.

Son of Lagos Lawmaker shot dead in London

A 26-year-old Abraham Badru, son of House of Representatives member, Dolapo Badru, was shot dead close to his family's house in London. Abraham who has a fiancée in Nigeria and had worked as a coach, was found dead on the pavement by the police, after they received reports of gunshots. While the young man's mother has collapsed with tears on his side. According to Abraham's father, Dolapo, Abraham had received a police bravery award when he was a teenager, for saving a girl from rape. "A few years ago a girl was raped on the estate and Abraham fought them off. He went to court to testify against them and the police gave him an award". "He is quiet and hard-working" Dolapo added.

FG declares Friday, Monday public holiday to mark Easter celebration

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, March 30 and Monday 2nd April, 2018 as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday respectively. The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, by the Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Julie Ejiofor. The minister admonished Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to make use of the spiritual ethos of Easter, which include love, peace, and sacrifice, in contributing to the unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians. He also urged Nigerians “to remain supportive of the government  of President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts towards building a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.” Dambazau implored the citizens to use the occasion to pray for the peace and unity of the country. He wished all Nigerians a Happy Easter celebration.
