Meghan Markle's father will not attend her royal wedding

Meghan and her father, Markle Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, will not attend his daughter's royal wedding with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle on Saturday, Kensington Palace has confirmed. In a statement, Markle suggested her father’s health was to blame for his absence. “Sadly, my father will not be attending the wedding,” she wrote. “I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.” The statement comes days after a report said Thomas Markle would not attend the wedding amid heart problems and news that he had staged photo shoots. Gianluigi Buffon to leave Juventus after 17-years with the club

Italian footballer and goalkeeper Gianluigi, Buffon, has announced he will leave Juventus at the end of the season after 17 years with the club. The 40-year-old  star, who joined the club from Parma in 2001, revealed the news at a press conference in Allianz Stadium in Turin earlier today. Buffon said: "Saturday will be my final match for Juventus and to end this journey with two cups and with the president and the entire Bianconeri world by my side, will be very special. "I'm proud to have played to the best of my ability right up until now, with performances which befit both myself and this club. I make this decision in a calm and happy state of mind, which is not to be taken for granted for a sportsperson. Minimum wage, subsidy not included in the increased budget

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje has said that no provision was made in the 2018 Budget for any increase in minimum wage during the year. Goje made this known while briefing pressmen on Wednesday in Abuja shortly after the passing of the 2018 Appropriation Bill saying the failure to capture the wage in the budget may have been because deliberation on the issue had not been concluded by the Executive.  The lawmaker said “The government has not brought it. I think that the issue of minimum wage is still under consideration. It is still at the committee level with the Executive. When they bring it to us we will look at it; ours is just to make law. If the Executive decides to pay workers N100, 000 per day or whatever it is, if they bring the Bill and can justify it, we will pass it. When they bring it, we will conside”. Man stabbed his wife 17 times

Late Lindiwe Sibiya An anniversary celebration ended in tragedy after a Gauteng man, Prince Khumalo, 39 allegedly stabbed his wife 17 times in what is called ‘murder most foul’ in South Africa. The mother of two was found dead with multiple stab wounds. The husband to the deceased claims his late wife killed herself after an argument. A family friend alleges the couple had a falling out after their trip to Durban to celebrate their 7 year anniversary, they had a fight and a day later the victim Lindiwe Sibiya 39 was found dead. According to reports, Sibiya’s friend, Thuli Mkhwanazi, said the couple were supposed to drop off their two children, three and seven, with her uncle in Rietz in the Free State.
