Ryan Giggs on leave to mourn death of grandfather

The Manchester United assistant coach, Ryan Giggs is given leave to morn the death of his grandfather, Dennis Giggs who died yesterday, Wednesday February, 3. Dennis Giggs died in his late 70s after battling with cancer for a long time. His death was announced by the supporters club of Manchester United which he was a dedicated member of the club. Ryan was not present for their mid-week Premier League win over Stroke City as he rushed to be with Dennis. Also, it was revealed that Ryan was fond of his grandfather and once played for Wales because of him.

Ciara coming to naija for Darey "Love like a movie"!

Nigerian musician Darey Art-Alade will host the third edition of Love Like a Movie with Ciara as the headline artiste on February 28. This year’s show is titled Naked, named after Darey’s last album, and there’ll be a photo exhibition with the same theme featuring TY Bello, Kelechi Amadi Obi and Yetunde Babaeko. The musical show has international and local artistes, but also acrobats, excellent choreography and a lot of exciting moments. For the first edition in 2012, Kim Kardashian made a brief appearance on stage. For the second edition in 2014, Kelly Rowland performed. People enjoyed the first show because it was unlike anything they had seen in Lagos before – started right on time, and the execution was great. Due to the presidential elections that were scheduled for Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2015 an edition could not hold. Aircraft authority suspends Bristow Helicopter’s operations in Nigeria

Bristow Helicopters have had successive air mishaps on the Lagos coaster waters with its SikorskyS-76C++ aircraft type within the last six months, August 2015 and yesterday. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has suspended the operations of Bristow Helicopter’s aircraft type SikorskyS-76C++ yesterday after the crash.  Also, the same day,  Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Muhtar Usman, stated this while speaking to aviation reporters at the NCAA Annex, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA). He said that the aircraft type had been suspended till further notice pending when a full audit is carried out on it. EFCC chairman meets UAE Envoy concerning money laundering

Following President Mohammadu Buhari's Mutual Legal Assistance agreement with the United Arab Emirate on the repatriation of stolen funds and extradition of indicted officials, the Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, met with the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Mahmud Muhammad Al- Mahmud in Abuja yesterday. Magu called for the strengthening of the existing relationship between Nigeria and United Arab Emirate, UAE, with a view to tackle corruption within the African continent. He said: "The fight against graft requires the collaborative support of all and sundry, most especially the international community for it to be won". According to the EFCC boss, the present administration in the country is poised to recover the nation’s commonwealth looted and laundered in foreign countries by corrupt elements.
