Senate confirms Aisha and Adamu the new CBN Deputy Governors

Aishah Ahmad, new CBN Deputy Governor Nigerian Senate has today confirmed nominees to serve as Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, members of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. Edward Lametek Adamu, new CBN Deputy Governor President Muhammadu Buhari had sent the nominees to the Nigerian Senate last year November. The confirmation followed the March 14, 2018, resolution of the upper chamber to screen the nominees after setting aside their earlier position not to do so, due to the tarrying nippy relationship between the legislature and executive. During the submission of plenary report, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, Senator Rafiu Adebayo  revealed that one of the nominees, Dr Asheikh A. Maidugu failed the screening. And urged the red chamber to reject the confirmation of Dr Maidugu based on the report. Toke Makinwa commences her Vlog series tagged "diary of a single girl"

Media personality Toke Makinwa has officially commenced a new vlog series on her YouTube channel. The series, called “Diary of a Single Girl“, will focus on her life as a single girl and the what she goes through. Episode 1 is titled “I Hate going on Dates” and she talks about how she really feels about going on dates. Can you relate? FFK asked the whereabout of one of the abducted Dapchi girls who denounce her Christian faith

The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode in an article shared on his Facebook page,  asking the Buhari government the whereabout of one of the Dapchi abducted school girls, Liya Sharibu, who has reportedly been held on to by the sect members because she refused to denounce her Christian faith. The sect members yesterday released 104 of the abducted school girls. Liya's father in an interview, said he was told by the other girls that she was held on to because she refused to denounce her faith. Femi in his article, said the Dapchi incident is the biggest scam and money-making venture in the history of Nigerian politics. He believed that in the next few months, Nigerians should expect many more Boko Haram abductions after which money will change hands again and the girls, as long as they are Muslims, will be released and returned.
