Buhari proceeds on 5-day vacation, Osinbajo to act as President

President Buhari has begun a 5 day vacation from today, February 5 to February 10, 2016. A statement by Special Adviser to Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says that while Buhari is away, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will perform the duties of the President. It was also stated that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Supreme Court dismissed Saraki’s Appeal | CCT Trial to Proceed

This morning, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal brought before it by the Senate President Bukola Saraki challenging his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. This was the unanimous decision of the 7-person panel. The former governor of Kwara State's trial at the CCT proceeds as he is presently facing 13-count charge of corruption and false declaration of assets at the CCT during his tenor as governor.

A retired Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) cop claims that Grammy Award-winning artist Sean 'P Diddy' Combs was responsible for hiring a killer to shoot Tupac Shakur in a drive-by in 1996. Both Diddy, from New York, and Tupac, in Los Angeles, had been caught up in a bitter rivalry between East and West Coast rappers, the Huffington Post reports. According to the retired detective Greg Kading, who once led a special task force that investigated the shootings said Christopher Wallace, aka Biggies Smalls, a close friend to P Diddy was shot six months later in a revenge killing. Kading claims in a new documentary that Diddy hired Crips gang member Duane Keith 'Keffe D' Davis to kill Shakur and his manager Marion Hugh 'Suge' Knight for $1million. But on the night of the shooting, on September 7, 1996, it was actually Keffe's nephew Orlando 'Baby Lane' Anderson who shot the 25-year-old rapper dead, according to the ex-cop. Suge escaped unha

Looking at the controversial South African President, Jacob Zuma homestead in Nkandla on January 21, 2014. Then, January 11 2016, South African police arrested 30 people near the homestead after violent clashes with supporters of a newly formed party led by Julius Malema. South African President Jacob Zuma has finally succumbed to public and opposition party pressure to pay taxpayers back some of the 24 million US Dollars he used to refurbish his grand estate Nkandla. He has been under pressure since 2014, when the office of the Public Protector, a body in South Africa specially set up to investigate misconduct amongst and complaints against public officers in all state affairs. Zuma said “benefited unduly” from his private home upgrades. They also stated that his conduct was “inconsistent with his office as a member of the cabinet”. It recommended he reimburse taxpayers for a “reasonable part” of the costs. The home additions and improvements included a swimming pool (whic
