Xmas:Buhari and others preach peace, love and unity





President Muhammadu Buhari, led other prominent Nigerians to celebrate with Christians in the country, as they join their counterparts all over the world to mark this year’s Christmas today.

Christmas is a day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Other eminent Nigerians who sent in their greetings yesterday included, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki; his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu; state governors, former Governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, among others. 

Buhari enjoined Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the celebration of Christmas in pushing for peace, love and unity of the country. And no group should be given a chance to cause confusion in Nigeria.

Saraki, and Ekweremadu, urged Nigerians that there should be peace, love and unity in their actions at all time as it is necessary for rebuilding the country. In a message, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, said these virtues were crucial to the developmental drive of the present administration and to ensure that the country took her rightful place as a proud member of the international community.
