Free toll at Lekki toll gate this morning


There is no doubt that Lagos hustling has started again with the usual traffic as the 1st Lekki toll gate along sand fill bus stop is open for motorists to pass without paying this morning.

One of the staff at Lekki Conscession Company toll shouted, go! go! go! Some of the motorist asked the person shouting, "abi una dey do christmas today?"

Sokoto governor declares Monday as public holiday

Governor of Sokoto state Aminu Tambuwal has declared Monday, September 2, 2019 as public holiday to mark the beginning of Islamic New Year 1441. A statement issued by Malam Abubakar Shekara, a permanent secretary with the state government on Sunday, September 1, said “the holiday is to allow Muslim faithfuls to celebrate the commencement of the new year.” The governor urged the people of the state to use the opportunity to pray for peace and security of the state, also, Nigeria as a whole.
