21 year old man commits suicide in SA



21-year-old Brendon Apples was found dead on Monday at Denneboom Station, Mamelodi South Africa after his disappearance last week.

His mother, Cecilia Apples, Brendon was last seen leaving home for work around 05:00 last Tuesday. She said he didn’t make it to work and she immediately reported to the police the next day after he didn't return home.

She reported her son missing on Wednesday and appealed to residents and the media for any information on his whereabouts. Brendon was finally found in a mortuary. The police said he threw himself on rail tracks in suicide.

"The police found his body and took him to the mortuary."

Apples said she was contacted by police informing her that they had found a body matching her son’s description.

"Police said he committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a moving train," Apples said.

Cecilia said the family positively identified the body as Brendon Apples on Monday and were organising his funeral for Saturday.

"Brendon was a very quiet and loving child and he was working in Gezina doing upholstery." Cecilia added.

FG acquires calibration safety aircraft worth millions of dollars

The Honourable Minister, Sen. Hadi Sirika; receiving the Beechcraft 350 aircraft at the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Thursday. Federal Government of Nigeria on Thursday has delivered a Beechcraft 350 aircraft worth 8.5million Dollars for calibration of navigation equipment in the country’s airports.
