Gunshots fired close to YouTube Headquarters in California


Gunshots fire have been reported close to YouTube Headquarters in San Bruno, Northern California, United States. Bay Area news outlet, KRON4 confirmed that the city manager’s office “received multiple 9-1-1 calls from YouTube” early hour Tuesday (American time).

Police said they were handling “active shooter” at 901 Cherry Ave—YouTube main office address—and warned people to “stay out of the area.”
A spokesperson for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital told NBC Bay Area that they have “received patients from YouTube incident.”

Also, a product manager for the American video-sharing website, Todd Sherman tweeted: “We were sitting in a meeting and then we heard people running because it was rumbling the floor. First thought was earthquake.” Upon evacuating the building, Sherman described seeing “blood drips on the floor and stairs.”

In a statement, YouTube’s main company Google said: “We are coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available.”
