2018 Democracy/Children's Day: "All those who are failures to the peace of this country are bastards"

Vice president of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has preached on the theme: Peace Building and Good Governance for Substance Development at the National Church, Abuja to mark the Children's Day and forthcoming, Democracy day, May 29 2018.


Yemi Osinbajo revealed that it is not easy and comfortable in building a nation but with perseverance and endurance, the people would move forward, using the Egyptians in the bible as an example.

Prelate of the Methodist Church his Eminence, Dr. Samuel Chukwuemeka who also preached on the theme at the 2018 Democracy Day interdenominational church service said that promotion, perseverance, peace, endurance and good leadership are required for nation building.

Dr Samuel said Nigeria has good resources in abundant for the people, it should be maintained and enjoyed.

He also said that, for citizen to live in peace, there is needd for standard security, good roads, constant energy and water supply. Not people hawking goods and services for daily needs. He stated that hawking is an evidence of underdevelopment in the country.

"For peace building and good governance for sustainable development in Nigeria, we need good leadership and security in our country."

FG acquires calibration safety aircraft worth millions of dollars

The Honourable Minister, Sen. Hadi Sirika; receiving the Beechcraft 350 aircraft at the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Thursday. Federal Government of Nigeria on Thursday has delivered a Beechcraft 350 aircraft worth 8.5million Dollars for calibration of navigation equipment in the country’s airports. According to the press release by Federal Ministy of Information and Culture Honourable Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika who was present to receive the aircraft at the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, said that the aim of acquiring the aircraft is to calibrate the Nigerian airport equipment and to aid the country’s flight operations.
