Bayero Law undergraduate defend herself by stabbing husband

Hanan, the Law undergraduate of the Bayero University Kano, who has been accused of stabbing her husband, Saeed Hussein, at their home in Kano state on Friday 21st June, has said her husband died while she was trying to defend herself from his beating.
According to an eye witness, a neighbour said she saw Hanan with a swollen face and bruises all over her body, had been tolerating her husband who tortures her at the slightest provocation.

Another neighbour stated that Hanan said her husband beats her up despite knowing that she was pregnant. While protecting herself as her husband tried attacking her with a knife, she mistakenly pierced into his body.
Hussain was rushed to the hospital after the incident and later died.

FG acquires calibration safety aircraft worth millions of dollars

The Honourable Minister, Sen. Hadi Sirika; receiving the Beechcraft 350 aircraft at the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Thursday. Federal Government of Nigeria on Thursday has delivered a Beechcraft 350 aircraft worth 8.5million Dollars for calibration of navigation equipment in the country’s airports. According to the press release by Federal Ministy of Information and Culture Honourable Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika who was present to receive the aircraft at the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, said that the aim of acquiring the aircraft is to calibrate the Nigerian airport equipment and to aid the country’s flight operations.
