Liverpool win champions league

Jurgen Klopp has protected Liverpool to wining European Champions League for the sixth time in history by trashing Tottenham 2-0 at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Mohammed Salah played a penalty in the second minute of the game, after Moussa Sissoko handled Sadio Mané's cross in Liverpool's first attack.

A combination of hot weather and a near-three week break since the end of the Premier League season seemed to effect the game, which was sketchy and flat for long time.

Tottenham had plenty of possession but rarely threatened to equalise. Divock Origi put the game beyond doubt after 87 minutes, finishing well after Spurs failed to clear a corner
