The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) assured Nigerians that the current scarcity of petrol would end soon. The union Chairman, South-West Zone, Alhaji Tokunbo Korodo, gave the assurance on Friday in Lagos. Reports was given by a reliable source that the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, confirmed the payment of N407.07 billion fuel subsidy to oil marketers on Wednesday 9, December. Also, Korodo said that there was much loading of petroleum products in different depots in Lagos and other parts of the country. And Petroleum Tanker Drivers are ready to deliver the product to designated filling stations. According to the Chairman, he said; "well, tentatively, before Christmas period the queues will vanish at filling stations across the country."
