Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda will re-marry this year. The exciting news was revealed by SDK who stated that the 41-year-old actress will traditionally wed this February and the white wedding in May. Monalisa chose a romantic and luxurious location for her white wedding as he and her lover, Victor Coker, will wed in Greece. The mother of one was previously married to Dejo Richards but they separated in 2009 after reports of domestic abuse was known. Monalisa has since gone on to be a strong-voice speaking for women in abusive relationships.

Members of the National Assembly have suspended passing of the 2016 budget indefinitely following the discrepancies in figures that has trailed the budget. NASS members had fixed February 25th as the date for the passage of the budget but have shelved it. This development was made known‎ at a joint press conference headed by Sen. Danjuma Goje, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation and Abdulmumin Jibrin, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation in Abuja yesterday February 9th. Jibrin said: “We need sufficient time to pass a comprehensive budget that is implementable and also acceptable."
