Banker nabbed for stealing a dead customer's money
A 36-year old banker, Nicholas Anthony working with Eco bank, Ile- Epo branch, Ejigbo, Lagos has been arrested and charged before a Magistrate’s court at the area, for allegedly conspiring to steal N23 million lodged in a dead customer's account of the bank. According to Daily times, Nicholas has conspired with one Junior Walter and Akeem now at large to falsify documents and attempted to steal the sum of N23 million belonging to a dead customer. Unfortunate for them, the bank management discovered their plan before they could withdraw the money. It was gathered that Anthony after getting information that the customer was dead, contacted other suspects and processed documents to claim the money as beneficiary. Anthony handed the documents to Walter to come to the bank and present it to the management for payment.
