Recently, the actor endorsed an anti-gender-based violence group, GenderMobile as the genuine platform to report any case of violence within the society. Rico Swavey urged victims to seize the opportunity presented by the group by reaching out to GenderMobile through its official website (http://www.gendermobile.org)  or simply dialing its official hotline on     0700 0000 002. Indian dad gave his daughter to his friends as a "gift" and joined them in gang-raping her for 18 hours. The 57-year-old father, first introduced his 35-year-old daughter to his friend at a fair in Kamlapur. Both men convinced her to join them on a visit to their other friend who lives in Lucklow and she agreed. After, her dad gave her as a "gift" to his friends and she was locked inside the housewhere she was raped. The young lady later escape and fled to her mum's house where she was staying at the time after her marital breakdown. Her mum called the police as soon as she learned of the assault. Lucklow- the place the rape took place.  Sitapur Superintendent of Police Sureshrao Kulkarni said: "The father was arrested. He got bail in February this year." Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has been arrested. He was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, while trying to travel out of the country, on Monday, 23 April. “I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in,” the Kogi West Senator wrote on Twitter. Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Sunday unveiled a new statue of the late legal leader, Chief Gani Fawehinmi at the Liberty Park, Ojota. Lagos. Governor Ambode, represented by his Deputy, Oluranti Adebule, said the 44 feet edifice symbolises the physical aspect that the rights activist represented in his life time. Unveiling the statue is in commemoration of the 80th born after death birthday of the late icon. The Governor said it was an affirmation of his administration’s commitment to celebrate prominent individuals whose action have helped to develop Lagos state in a positive way over the years. At the event are digitaries like the Deputy Governor of the state Oluranti Adebule representing Governor Ambode, the wife of late Gani Fawehinmi, Ganiyat, the human right activist, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin; Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and culture,  Mr Steve Ayomide among others.
