Former governor of Rivers State, now minister for transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Senator representing Bayelsa East,  Ben Murray-Bruce took their political fight to the social media today, February 7th, 2016. Senator Bruce fired words towards Amaechi when he was replying a jibe from a popular blogger, Japhet Omojuwa. Omojuwa tweeted that the senator should not be taken seriously  for not criticising former president Goodluck Jonathan when he was in power. Despite efforts and assurances by the Federal Government that it would rescue the abducted Chobok girls alive, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has raised doubts on their possible return. Obasanjo who spoke at an event organized by the Staff Club of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, on Friday, said anyone saying the girls would return was simply telling lies. He blamed former President Goodluck Jonathan for not taking actions immediately to rescue the girls on the day they were kidnapped.
