Vice President Osibanjo in picture with school pupils eating lunch in Ondo State

Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osibanjo who has been on two days working visit in Ondo state is pictured with the state governor Rotimi Akeredolu, having lunch with the pupils of Alagbaka Estate Primary School, in the state. The Vice President wrote on his twitter handle to share how teaching has been one his favorite activities. He wrote: "Teaching has been one of my favorite things to do. It was even more spectacular teaching the pupils this morning at the Alagbaka Estate Primary School in Akure, Ondo state. I read English/Comprehension on one of the passage from one of the many resources on the @npower_ng device. After teaching, naturally it is lunch time. The kids and I are eating lunch prepared by the NHGSFP cooks in Ondo. I must confess the meal is so tasty".

Benue State governor appears before State's House Of Assembly over attack

Benue Samuel Ortom on Thursday appeared before the Benue House of Assembly to brief the lawmakers on the on-going attacks on rural communities. The governor, whose appearance was in obedience to a summon issued on Tuesday, told the lawmakers that 18 local government areas were hit by the incessant attacks that had claimed and displaced several lives. He lamented that the violence had displaced many Benue residents, and vowed to work toward ridding the state of the bandits. On the cause of the attacks, Ortom said that many reasons were being deduced with many people blaming the violence on people suspected to be pursuing a religious agenda. “Others say that it is an extension of the Boko Haram insurgency while some say that the attacks are being masterminded by herdsmen seeking land,” he said. President Buhari arrives Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Nigeria yesterday.  The  Nigerian presidential spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina revealed earlier yesterday that Buhari will arrive the country that evening from Washington. Adesina on his twitter handle wrote: “MB arrives Abuja this evening. The good work of rebuilding Nigeria continues.” President Buhari was in Washington for three days during which he met President Donald Trump at the White House
