28-year-old Swedish multi talented Avicii dies

Singer, DJ and producer Avicii has died earlier today, April 20th in Muscat, the Omani capital. This was confirmed by his publicist, Ebba Lindqvist who announced the remixer and star DJ’s death. Tim Bergling, popularly known as Avicii had just received a Billboard nomination for his newly released EP, “Avicii 01”. According to Wikipedia, Avicii was ranked third on DJ Mag in 2012 and 2013 and has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, once for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and once for his song “Levels” in 2013. Some of his most popular songs are “I Could Be the One” with Nicky Romero, “Wake Me Up“, “You Make Me“, “X You“, “Hey Brother“, “Addicted to You“, “The Days“, “The Nights“, “Levels“, “Waiting for Love“, “Without you” and “Lonely Together“. He released his debut studio album, True, in 2013. Arsenal fans react as Arsene Wenger prepares to leave the club

Arsene Wenger  has announced earlier today that he would finally be leaving Arsenal club at the end of the season after 22 years as the manager of the club. The announcement caused much reactions among Arsenal fans, appreciating him for all time he spent with the English club while others posted funny messages and tweets to celebrate the news. The 68-year-old Frenchman, who joined Arsenal from  Nagoya Grampus Eight  since1996, won 3 Premier League Titles, 7 FA Cup Titles, and 6 Community Shield among others. See Arsenal's fans reactions :

Witness testifies in court as Maryam Sanda faces trial for alleged murder of husband

The victim, Bilyamin Bello and his wife Maryam Sanda Maryam Sanda is standing trial for the alleged murder of husband, Bilyamin Bello, son of former Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Bello Haliru, as Mohammed Ibrahim witness in court on Thursday. The witness who is friend to the deceased, said he was with the deceased for over eight hours, the night before his death. According to Mr Mohammed “Ms Sanda asked her husband for divorce after she found out that he cheated on her and threatened to chop off his husband’s sex organ during some quarrels and fight, but never actually intended killing him". During cross-examination, Mr Mohammed told the court that to avoid coming in between the couples, he decided to leave their house, before leaving the couple's house that night. Bilyamin was not badly injured after the long quarrel and fight between him and wife (Sanda).  Meanwhile,  court has adjourned the case to 15 May for further judgement.

Prince Harry's fiancee, Meghan Markle has made history by becoming the first royal fiancee to speak at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the Commonwealth Youth Forum in London on Wednesday, where they met young delegates from across Britain’s Commonwealth countries. Markle’s attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is unprecedented in royal history. Royal fiancées don’t usually take part in this particular week, but Markle most times been asked to participate in royal engagements.

Court of appeal freezes governor Ayo Fayose’s bank account

A court of appeal sitting in Ado Ekiti has directed the freezing of the account of Ayo Fayose, governor of Ekiti state. The court allowed the appeal filed by EFCC against the judgment of Taiwo Taiwo of federal high court, Ado Ekiti division. In 2016, a federal high court proceeding in Ado Ekiti set aside an earlier order of a federal high court in Lagos empowering the EFCC to freeze two Zenith Bank accounts of Fayose. The court had ordered the EFCC to immediately lift the freeze order on the two accounts belonging to the governor, saying the anti-graft agency did not follow due process. Taiwo had given the order while delivering his judgment, which lasted more than two hours, in a suit filed by the governor through Mike Ozekhome, his counsel. The judge said the rights of the governor had been infringed upon, considering the circumstance of his office.
