Wij 2016 holds in Lagos

Women in Journalism Africa 2016 edition which is an annual conference organized by AOL Nigeria, in partnership with various organizations with strong interest in matters that concern women with the aim of focusing on African women in the media and inspiring the next generation female in issues relating to education, journalism, leadership and media organisation was held yesterday 21, July at the MUSON Centre, Lagos. WIJ was founded by writer Yomi Owope, with the first Conference (WiJ2014) held at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island Lagos. The conference third edition with the theme: "Stand Up for Ethics and Excellence" was anchored by Kris Ero of Television Continental which notable speeches were delivered by the veteran journalists, Mrs. Bimbo Oloyede and many others; discussing extensively on truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, fairness and public accountability in journalism, especially in the new media which is common among the citizen journalists. ...
