Real Madrid make history, win Champions League

Image
Real Madrid has made history to become the first team in more than 3 decades to win European football's top club competition in three consecutive seasons as they beat Liverpool 3-1 in an interesting Champions League final Saturday. No team, either, has won more than Real Madrid's in the beginning. Substitute Gareth Bale scored twice, including the winner in the 64th minute in Kiev with an uplited overhead kick to cap a wild 13 minutes in the second half. It began when Karim Benzema netted the opener for Real Madrid in an odd condition. Liverpool keeper Loris Karius' throw-out to a teammate was well read by Benzema and the Frenchman stuck out his right leg and poked the ball into the opened net.

US warns South Syria over planned conflict attack

Image
The United States has warned the Syrian government not to carry out its planned attack of rebels in the Southern part of the country following a “de-escalation zone” agreement signed by three countries. Previously, United States, Russia, and Jordan agreed last year on a “de-escalation zone” in south-western Syria to stop conflict. On Friday report said that the State Department said it was concerned about reports that Assad’s forces were preparing for an operation near the Jordanian and Israeli borders. The U.S. said it will take “firm and appropriate measures” to protect a cease-fire in southern Syria if President Bashar Assad’s forces attack rebels there. The State Department further warned the Syrian government against “any actions that risk broadening the conflict.” The U.S. and Israel are growing well concerned about Iranian military activities in Syria in support of Assad. Israel says it does not want Iranian forces mass nearby the occupied Golan Heights.
