Meet Cussons Baby of the Year 2018!

The 5th-anniversary edition of the Cussons Baby Moments Competition came to a splendid ending last weekend at the grand finale tagged, ‘The Magic Finale’ held at the Anchor Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos, as Baby Zoe Ekwegh was crowned Cussons Baby of the Year 2018! Over 4,000 participants enter the race to win the Cussons Baby of the Year award. Senator Dino Melaye bail application adjourned

Senator Dino Melaye  The Chief Justice of Kogi State High Court, Justice Nasiru Ajanah, has adjourned hearing on the bail application of embattled senator, Dino Melaye till Thursday, May 10th. Senator Dino  Melaye was re-arrested last week and arraigned in a Kogi magistrate court for alleged possession of fire arms and funding a criminal group. The magistrate court last week ordered that he remains in police custody till June 11th for commencement of the case.  Dino bail application was heard by the court this earlier today. According to the Chief Judge, the adjournment is as a result of the failure of the Police and Senator Melaye lawyers to file their affidavit on the bail application. The embattled senator is still on admission at the national hospital, Abuja.

About 1,131 pregnant women are HIV positive in Lagos

About 1,131 pregnant women have been tested positive to the dreaded and incurable disease, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Lagos State. The  Health Commissioner, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed  this , at a ministerial news conference in Alausa, Lagos, that 38,791 pregnant women were tested for HIV, out of which 1,131 of them tested positive in the last one year. The commissioner said the test was carried out from the money received from Global Fund to tackle HIV issues in the state in a bid to attach the spread. He said the agreement between the Global Fund and the Lagos State Government was signed in February 2017 with the Lagos State Ministry of Health expected to receive and manage the Global Fund grants, to oversee grant implementation and procurement, and to report on grant programmatic and financial performance to the Global Fund Secretariat. “This first phase of the grant was described as the pilot phase and it was agreed that the success of Lagos State in this phase

Manchester City presented premier league trophy

Manchester City presented the Premier League trophy after winning the 2017/2018 premier league season on Sunday. Huddersfield, struggling to beat relegation had forced City to a goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium, but that did not dull the morale of the players and fans as they celebrated as the champions with a trophy. Captain of the side,  Vincent Kompany lifted  the trophy, with thousands of spectators cheering the victors. However, City could not produce the style of football fans have become so accustomed to this season, with Kevin de Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus going closest in a game of few clear-cut chances.
