Late Nelson Mandela’s ex wife dies at 81

Winnie Madikizela Mandela Former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela’s ex wife and South African anti-apartheid campaigner, Winnie Madikizela Mandela has passed away. According to a family spokesman,  Victor Dlamini said in a statement that the 81-year-old South African died earlier today in a Johannesburg hospital after a long illness. The late Winnie was born in 1936 in Transkei known now as the Eastern Cape. She was a trained social worker when she met her future husband in the 1950s and they were married for 38 years, although were separated due to Mandela’s imprisonment. The deceased played a major role in the campaign to end white-minority rule but her reputation became corrupt legally and politically years later. Daily Mail

Arsenal wants Super Eagles midfielder

Super Eagles player, Wilfred Ndidi is wanted by Premier League outfit Arsenal after meeting with his representatives. Ndidi has the main part for Leicester City this season which has also seen Liverpool ready to spend much on him. The midfielder has been a top performer in England which sees him as the best tackler in the league. According to report, Arsenal wants Ndidi as a midfield reinforcement in the summer. The 21-year-old who was brought in to Leicester in 2016 following the Ngolo Kante leaving has become one of the consistent players in the starting eleven. The report states that Arsenal has already made contact with Ndidi’s representatives for a potential move this summer, with Arsene Wenger reportedly an admiring Ndidi. Ndidi’s representatives denied making contact with Barcelona, but the report states that he may be willing to join compatriot Alex Iwobi at the Emirates Stadium.
