Kylies fight over trademark name

Fans of the Australian pop star might once have said that there is only one name Kylie. But not any more, as Kylie Minogue is mounting a legal bid to prevent Kylie Jenner claiming ownership of the name. Jenner of Keeping Up With The Kandashians reality TV show is hoping to trademark the name Kylie in  America to use for her expanding empire of beauty and clothing collections. But last week KDB, an Australian firm representing Minogue, filed opposition to the application, claiming that allowing Jenner to take the Kylie name would confuse Minogue's fans and dilute her brand. In making its case for which Kylie is the more legitimate Kylie, it goes on to list criticism Jenner has faced from African American communities and disability rights groups, particularly for her “photographic exhibitionism” on social media. Saraki: DFID proposes 54 Nigeria's existing laws

A team of consultants under the auspices of the Department for International Development (DFID) has proposed that 54 of Nigeria’s existing laws whether it will be amended or repealed if makes progress in Nigeria quest to attract investors and become good business partners. The experts spoke while presenting the 168 page report titled “Comprehensive Review of the Institutional Regulatory, Legislative and Associated Instruments Affecting Businesses in Nigeria” to the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his colleagues in both chambers of the National Assembly. This is as Saraki said the present economic challenge which the country is experiencing presents an opportunity for the leaders to show competency, courage and loyalty.
