The U.S. now demands to know the social-media user names of people applying for visas as part of stepped up screening of foreign visitors and immigrants. The change, which was initially announced last year and taking effect this month, follows on a 2017 order by President Donald Trump requiring heightened vetting for visa applicants, according to a State Department official.  An estimated 14 million travellers and 710,000 immigrants to the U.S. each year will be affected by the changes, according to notes in the Federal Register. The official said national security is the top priority and every would-be traveler or immigrant already faced screening, including requirements to list their travel history, family member information, and previous addresses.  The American Civil Liberties Union had opposed the proposal, arguing the questions would create "an environment ripe for profiling and discrimination."

Prince Hakeem Adeyemi Kosoko who was recently promoted to the position of Permanent Secretary of Education District 4, died during the night after suffering an undisclosed ailment. A teacher who works under Mr Kosoko's district in Lagos revealed that his death was announced to the teachers in Education District 4 this morning.

Chelsea have been crowned champions of the Europa League competition after beating the Gunners 4-1 to lift the trophy on Wednesday night at Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan . Arsenal had a good start into the game, but Chelsea ran riot in the second half with three goals in quick succession following a disastrous second-half performance from Arsenal. Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud , broke the goalless deadlock with a wonderful header in the 49th minute before Pedro Rodríguez doubled Chelsea's lead in the 60th minutes. Eden Hazard added a third in the 65th minutes after Giroud was fouled in the box. Arsenal's Alex Iwobi did produce a moment of inspiration after scoring a stormy goal in the 69th minutes before Hazard sealed the win for Chelsea in the 72nd following a sweeping counter-attack.
