Federal High court in Abuja, has ordered for the reopening of DAAR Communications Plc, owned by Raymond Dokpesi. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) suspended the licence of DAAR Communications Plc , owners of AIT and Raypower after a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday 6, June“ until further notice. The NBC Director-General said the decision was taken for failure of the stations to abide by the broadcasting code. The NBC boss said the regulatory agency had been monitoring the stations for a long time and had issued warnings that were defied. However, ruling on the matter on Friday, June 7, the Abuja division of the Federal High ordered that the stations should be reopened. Justice Inyang Ekwo, in his ruling, ordered that parties in the case should maintain the status quo as the situation was as at of May 31st when the processes were filed. And the case was adjourned till June 13 for the defendant to show cause why order should not be given.

A rematch between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr will take place in November or December, Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn said. American-born Mexican Ruiz produced one of the biggest shocks in heavyweight boxing history to take Joshua's IBF, WBO and WBA world heavyweight titles in New York on Saturday.  A rematch clause was part of the contract for the fight and Hearn says the clause had been triggered on Tuesday after talks. Muslims all over the world observe Ramadan, marked by intense fasting from dawn to dusk which finally ends with the hopeful festival of Eid Al Ftr. The month long Ramadan fasting ends with the sighting of the young moon in the sky. The date of the festival varies from country to country, depending on whether the moon has been seen or not. The Lunar cycle is used to calculate the Islamic Hijri era and this year’s Ramadan will be observed and/or already being observed at a different time across the world, as the moon was not visible in some parts of the country. That has been the case many times in the past, Eid Al Fitr is celebrated on one day in some parts of the country, and on another day in others. In some Southwestern parts of some continents in the world, the moon was sighted yesterday because Ramzan began a day earlier in these part.
