The internet is a time saving research resource for journalists and editors especially for reporters looking for a background. it has giving room for freelancing, many people that are not journalists are bloggers.

In online journalism, audiences are smaller than the mass media audience but both have influence on their audience. They choose which story to report from a particular point.
