AMBODE APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF FLYOVER

Governor Ambode

The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the construction of flyover for two of the State’s heavy traffic zones; Ajah round about and Abule Egba junction.

The two projects have been awarded to contractors for quick commencement of work.

According to the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, he said the projects will be completed within 16 months as part of Governor's ongoing road infrastructure projects across the state.

Ajah Road
The construction of the flyover and solar powered signalized intersection at Ajah roundabout will be ongoing at the same time with the rehabilitation of Freedom Road in Lekki, which will focus on reducing the heavy traffic being recorded at the Ajah round about and the Lekki-Ikoyi axis. The upgrade of Freedom Road will ease traffic considering the vehicles using the Third Roundabout to connect Lekki through Admiralty way.

Abule Egba Road

Meanwhile, the Abule Egba flyover will ease traffic around the Abeokuta Express way and Ifako Local Government Area.
