The activities to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration began with a Juma'at Service today at the National Mosque in Abuja.

The theme of this year's celebration is: Motivating the Nigerian Armed Forces for Effective Service Delivery.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki represented President Buhari at the service.

28-year-old Swedish multi talented Avicii dies

Singer, DJ and producer Avicii has died earlier today, April 20th in Muscat, the Omani capital. This was confirmed by his publicist, Ebba Lindqvist who announced the remixer and star DJ’s death. Tim Bergling, popularly known as Avicii had just received a Billboard nomination for his newly released EP, “Avicii 01”. According to Wikipedia, Avicii was ranked third on DJ Mag in 2012 and 2013 and has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, once for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and once for his song “Levels” in 2013. Some of his most popular songs are “I Could Be the One” with Nicky Romero, “Wake Me Up“, “You Make Me“, “X You“, “Hey Brother“, “Addicted to You“, “The Days“, “The Nights“, “Levels“, “Waiting for Love“, “Without you” and “Lonely Together“. FG approves the financing of the Ibadan Express way

The Federal Government has approved N64.108 billion for additional work on 43 kilometres’ part of section one of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. This was made known by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola, during a chat with reporters after about some hours’ Federal Executive Council meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari as the chairman in Abuja. Fashola, also said it was part of the N68.6 billion approved for roads projects. The new approval, Fashola said, is to accommodate the changing factors occurring on the project and to solidify the road to withstand heavy vehicles.
