The activities to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration began with a Juma'at Service today at the National Mosque in Abuja.

The theme of this year's celebration is: Motivating the Nigerian Armed Forces for Effective Service Delivery.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki represented President Buhari at the service.

Dignatries refuse to disclose donations at Aisha Buhari's book launch

Wife of Nigeria president, Aisha Buhari’s launched a book titled “The Essentials of Beauty Therapy: A Complete Guide for Beauty Therapy” yesterday, April 14, at the presidential villa banquet hall, Abuja. According to reports, prominent personnel present at the public book presentation intentionally refused to disclosed their donations. It was not clear whether their decision was based on the present administration’s anti-graft crusade. Organizers of the presentation revealed that the donations would be sent to parents of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok and the parents of the boys abducted in Buni Yadi. Meanwhile, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo noted at the event to Mrs. Buhari that the president is very strict on monetary issues and should not expect any large donation from him.
