Governor Wike calls back suspended council chairmen


Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called back  the suspended Caretaker Committee   Chairmen of  Abua/Odual, Ahoada East and Ahoada West Local Government Areas.
The  Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Chief Kenneth Kobani stated that the affected chairmen are to resume work with  immediately.

Buhari meets with Ooni of Ife, Adeboye

President Muhammadu Buhari played host to the recently crowned Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church, (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday February, 17. The meetings which took place at seperate times behind closed doors was held with Pastor Adeboye first and was accompanied to the President’s office by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and other top ranking members of the church. The meeting with the clergy lasted for about 20 minutes. However, the pastor declined comments when approached by State House correspondents. Singer Techno apologises for nude women dancing video

Artist, Techno took to his Instagram to apologise to Lagosians and the general public of videos of semi-nude women dancing in a transparent truck which went viral. The singer and producer said they were shooting a music video and there was shortage of vehicles when they had to move locations. The action is said to be against the Criminal Law of Lagos, Section 136 2015 which states that any person who commits any act of gross indecency with another person in public commits an offence and liable to a conviction to three years imprisonment. And Section 134(a) of the same law states that any indecent act in a public place makes both parties engaging in the act liable to imprisonment for two years.  See the apology message Techno posted:
