The year of flourishing


Yes thank God for this moment, a brand new year has finally arrived again, accompanied with many blessings, favour, love, peace; fulfilling life. In short, significant attainment, I mean nothing will stop you and me to get to the top.

The economy of the country does not count for you to get to that news making attainment. Every good thing you can ever think of is coming to you in this year. 2017 will be a year you shall accomplish the good things you have been imagining.

The Federal Capital Territory has recorded it's first death of the deadly viral disease, Lassa Fever. Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Oyewole mentioned this during a visit to the National Hospital, Abuja where the patient died. The medical director of the hospital, Jack Momoh, confirmed the death, said the patient, a 33 year old newly married man, was brought in unconscious from a private hospital in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, where he had been admitted for eight days. He later died within 24hours of being at the national hospital.‎ Meanwhile the search for all the contact of the deceased is ongoing.

Babangida summons for two-party system in Democracy message

Former Military President of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has said that setting up a two-party political system in Nigeria is crucial to building the nation’s democracy. Babangida, who made this comment in a message to Nigerians ahead of the May 29 Democracy Day celebration, stressed that he is worried about the country’s political structure and the absence of a clear-cut ideology by political parties. The former Military President alleged that democracy in Nigeria has been polarized in the last 18 years and therefore, he wants the nation to consider adopting a two-party structure as a way to solving many of its challenges. Super Eagles Rohr's frontmen hitting form right in time for 2018 FIFA World Cup

Super Eagles  boss  Gernot Rohr  was left with a lot of questions about his attack following Nigeria's two friendly games against Poland and Serbia in March.   Rohr’s men scored just one goal in the very cagey game against Poland, a penalty from  Victor Moses  and were totally shut out in the 2-0 loss to Serbia just days later. Indeed, the signs were there and the German tactician should have seen it happening.
