American comedian Bill Cosby guilty of sexual assualt

The sexual assault charges against him includes penetration without consent, penetration while unconscious, and penetration after administrating an intoxicant with each count punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
About 60 women accused Cosby of molestation over the course of several decades. His first trial ended in a mistrial in June 2017 after a jury deliberated for six days.
Recall in 2004 that Bill Cosby was alleged to have raped basketball coach, Andrea Constand and 50 other women also brought up several allegations against him.
Cosby was last tried on June 17, 2017, when proceedings ended on a mistrial and a new set of attorneys including; Tom Meserau who had a successful defense of late Michael Jackson in his trial for child molestation in 2005, Kathleen Bliss and Sam Silver. However, in 2017, the 80-year-old who is also a writer denied any wrongdoing in his trials.
Judge Steven T. O’Neill of the Montgomery County Courthouse in the northwest of Philadelphia, USA, who presided over the retrial, which began on April 9 in Norristown, Pa. Jurors in Montgomery County affirmed the account of Constand today, April 26, 2018, who alleged that the comedian had assaulted her in his Elkins Park, Pa., home in 2004.
New York Times reports that Mr Cosby sat back in his chair after the verdict was announced and quietly stared down. Several women who have accused Cosby of abusing them, and attended the trial each day, briefly cheered, then fell silent.
But then, Judge O’Neill praised the jurors, calling it “an extraordinarily difficult case” and adding, “You have sacrificed much, but you have sacrificed in the service of justice.”
