202 students expelled from Laspotech

The Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, has expelled 202 students for cultism and examination malpractice within three years.

The school rector, Samuel Sogunro, in a report said between 2015-2018, 183 students has been expelled for cultism while 19 has been dismissed for exam malpractices. 88 of the 183 students were in the School of full-time studies while 95 in part-time studies respectively.

He said, nine of the 19 students dismissed for exam malpractice were full-time and 10 were part-time students.

Sogunro restated that the school does not tolerate all forms of exam malpractices and cultism.

He promised to publish the names of the culprits in a national newspaper soon.

About 1,131 pregnant women are HIV positive in Lagos

About 1,131 pregnant women have been tested positive to the dreaded and incurable disease, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Lagos State. The  Health Commissioner, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed  this , at a ministerial news conference in Alausa, Lagos, that 38,791 pregnant women were tested for HIV, out of which 1,131 of them tested positive in the last one year. The commissioner said the test was carried out from the money received from Global Fund to tackle HIV issues in the state in a bid to attach the spread. Dead 6 months old baby brought back to life

On Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the Mountain Miracle and Liberation Ministries, a.k.a Liberation City, a dead infant was prayed back to life, it was like a movie. Reports said the six-month old baby was ill for weeks and was brought to the church by her parents for prayers. As soon as they arrived the church, the child died. The child parent frantically wept and pushed their way through to the pulpit where the man of God ministered to other people, and he immediately took the child from them and prayed fervently. Then he dropped the child on the altar and commanded her spirit to come back, and the baby moved!
