Olisa Metuh collapses in court

The former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh has collapsed during his trial in an Abuja High Court.

He is standing trial for alleged money laundering of N400million being part of the funds linked with former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

Metuh was trying to make his way to the dock when he suddenly collapsed.

APC Members Under Investigation For Corruption- Lai Mohammed

Facing the backdrop of allegation in some quarters that the Federal Government is sectional in the on-going war against corruption in the country, the Minister of Communication and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed yesterday that some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are also being investigated. He said the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is blind in its commitment to stop corruption, saying any Nigerian found to have soiled his hands with public fund would be brought to book accordingly. Buhari proceeds on 5-day vacation, Osinbajo to act as President

President Buhari has begun a 5 day vacation from today, February 5 to February 10, 2016. A statement by Special Adviser to Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says that while Buhari is away, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will perform the duties of the President. It was also stated that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
