President Buhari takes oath of office for the second term (Video)

Today, the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari takes oath of office for second term at Eagle Square, Abuja.

He took his oat immediately the vice President was sworn in.

Nigerians hope for the next level to be better as the president leads on for another four years.

Singer Techno apologises for nude women dancing video

Artist, Techno took to his Instagram to apologise to Lagosians and the general public of videos of semi-nude women dancing in a transparent truck which went viral. The singer and producer said they were shooting a music video and there was shortage of vehicles when they had to move locations. The action is said to be against the Criminal Law of Lagos, Section 136 2015 which states that any person who commits any act of gross indecency with another person in public commits an offence and liable to a conviction to three years imprisonment. And Section 134(a) of the same law states that any indecent act in a public place makes both parties engaging in the act liable to imprisonment for two years.  See the apology message Techno posted:

Nigeria President signs "Not Too Young To Run" bill into law

President, Muhammadu Buhari has signed the bill of “Not Too Young To Run ” into law. He signed the bill on Thursday inside the Council Chamber of State House Presidential Villa, in the presence of selected invited youth from across the county. Mr Buhari on Tuesday assured Nigerians that the ‘Not too Young to Run Bill’ will be signed into law in a few days’ time. However, in a brief remark after he signed the bill, Mr Buhari told his audience comprising representatives of young persons from the 36 states and Abuja that “You can aspire for President but Please postpone your campaign till after 2019 election.” Mr Buhari revealed this in his Democracy Day speech which was broadcast on Tuesday that “In few days to come, I will be joined by many promising young Nigerians to sign into law the “Not Too Young to Run” Bill.” The new law is aimed at relaxing some of the stringent and discriminatory provisions of the constitution.
