Governor Oshomole The governor of Edo State, Adams Oshomole has presented the states budget for year 2016. The budget of N111.5b was submitted to the state's legislators. The governor tagged the budget as "finishing well," also he said reduction is in line with the economic realities and development in the international oil market. Oshomole also mentioned that there will be design of erosion control at Ibore, Ewu, Ogiso/Osunde, Emu, Ambrose Alli University (AAU) and Auchi Agenebode Road erosion site. And the design of flood and erosion control structure in some parts of the state's capital is at advanced stage. He added that his attention will be on construction and maintenance of road in the state in 2016.

Governor Ambode The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the construction of flyover for two of the State’s heavy traffic zones; Ajah round about and Abule Egba junction. The two projects have been awarded to contractors for quick commencement of work. According to the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, he said the projects will be completed within 16 months as part of Governor's ongoing road infrastructure projects across the state. Ajah Road The construction of the flyover and solar powered signalized intersection at Ajah roundabout will be ongoing at the same time with the rehabilitation of Freedom Road in Lekki, which will focus on reducing the heavy traffic being recorded at the Ajah round about and the Lekki-Ikoyi axis. The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) assured Nigerians that the current scarcity of petrol would end soon. The union Chairman, South-West Zone, Alhaji Tokunbo Korodo, gave the assurance on Friday in Lagos. Reports was given by a reliable source that the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, confirmed the payment of N407.07 billion fuel subsidy to oil marketers on Wednesday 9, December. Also, Korodo said that there was much loading of petroleum products in different depots in Lagos and other parts of the country. And Petroleum Tanker Drivers are ready to deliver the product to designated filling stations. According to the Chairman, he said; "well, tentatively, before Christmas period the queues will vanish at filling stations across the country."
