It was a day to always remember for some students of Nigeria Institute of Journalism Ogba, Lagos as they finished their 2015/2016 session examination from the school. With jubilation and happiness they have successfully finished an academic phase, hoping to move further.

Adams Oshiomhole mourns Stephen Keshi

The Edo State Governor, has described the death of Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, former Captain and Coach of the Super Eagle, as a great loss to Edo State where he lives until his death, and the nation as a whole.  In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Peter Okhiria, the Governor described the late Stephen Keshi, fondly called the ‘Big Boss’, as a thoroughbred professional, complete gentleman, a good citizen who impacted positively on his immediate environment where he lived a quiet life.  The statement reads: "On behalf of the Government and People of Edo State, I join millions of Nigerians and other sports lovers worldwide to condole with my brother, the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, on the sudden death of this illustrious son of the state. On Saturday, 28 May 2016 at exactly 8:30pm in Onikan, Lagos. I was waiting for Ajah bus for a long time and didn't see. A jeep called Ajah, and I was contemplating to board that vehicle; but because I had waited for long at the bus stop, so I decided to board the it. Before reaching Bonny Cantonment, the driver locked the jeep's door. Then I realised that I had boarded the wrong vehicle. So, immediately we got to Oniru at Victoria Island. The driver diverted and the guy sitting next to him corked a pistol, while the driver said to me to never say "yes when my heart says no". And told me they were out for serious business, that I should pass my bag. He collected my money, Guarantee Trust and Diamond bank ATM cards. Meanwhile, before collecting my bag to search, he asked if I had money in my bag, I replied: "no!" but he later found some money in my purse and blew my mouth as well as hit my head five times with a wheel spanner. Geraldine and her twin sister Geraldine participated in Big Brother Africa 4: The Revolution. She was the Nigerian lady on that season of the popular show that also featured another Nigerian, KevinChuwang Pam. Breaking! Removal of fuel subsidy; new price revealed

Ibe Kachiwu and President Buhari The federal government of Nigeria has removed subsidy on fuel today and it will henceforth sell for  N145 per litre. Until the removal, N87 per litre was the official price of the fuel although consumers have been paying as much as N200 due to scarcity. The removal in fuel subsidy has been the on going issue since President Muhammadu Buhari took over power. The minister of state for petroleum, Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu had said that Nigerians were not benefitting from the subsidy which made it essential to be removed. Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo mentioned earlier today that Nigeria had reached a point where tough decisions had to be taken.
