Wike To Swear-in Daisy Okocha As Substantive Chief Judge

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike will swear-in Honourable Justice Daisy Wotube Okocha as the Substantive Chief Judge of the state today January 4, 2016.

A statement issued by the special assistant to the state governor, Simeon Nwakaudu, on electronic media said that the swearing-in of the substantive Chief Judge of Rivers state will hold by 10am at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt.

Justice Diasy Okocha has been the Acting Chief of Rivers state since May 29, 2015 when he was appointed by Governor Nyesom Wike.

On November 30, the Rivers state government said the National Judicial Council (NJ), had recommended the extension of the appointment of the Acting Chief Judge of Rivers state, Justice Daisy Okocha from December 1, 2015 to January 15, 2016.

The state governor, accordingly approved the extension of the appointment of Justice Daisy Okocha.
