Ryan Giggs on leave to mourn death of grandfather


The Manchester United assistant coach, Ryan Giggs is given leave to morn the death of his grandfather, Dennis Giggs who died yesterday, Wednesday February, 3.

Dennis Giggs died in his late 70s after battling with cancer for a long time.

His death was announced by the supporters club of Manchester United which he was a dedicated member of the club.

Ryan was not present for their mid-week Premier League win over Stroke City as he rushed to be with Dennis.

Also, it was revealed that Ryan was fond of his grandfather and once played for Wales because of him.

Babangida summons for two-party system in Democracy message

Former Military President of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has said that setting up a two-party political system in Nigeria is crucial to building the nation’s democracy. Babangida, who made this comment in a message to Nigerians ahead of the May 29 Democracy Day celebration, stressed that he is worried about the country’s political structure and the absence of a clear-cut ideology by political parties. The former Military President alleged that democracy in Nigeria has been polarized in the last 18 years and therefore, he wants the nation to consider adopting a two-party structure as a way to solving many of its challenges.
