Obafemi Martins undergoes successful surgery in England

Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins had a successful surgery in England on his hamstring injury.

He departed to England for surgery after an injury in an AFC Champions League game between Shanghai Shenhua and Kashima Antlers on Tuesday, April 3.

The 33-year-old was instrumental for Shanghai Shenhua before his injury; he scored the winner in the Chinese FA Cup final to take his team to the Asian Champions League.
