See Dino Melaye reaction to failure of his recall process in Kogi State

Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the failure of the recall exercise carried out in his constituency in Kogi West Senatorial district on Saturday 28, April. Most of the constituency members that reportedly signed his letter of recall, failed to show up for verification of their signatures by INEC.

Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Oyewole mentioned this during a visit to the National Hospital, Abuja where the patient died. The medical director of the hospital, Jack Momoh, confirmed the death, said the patient, a 33 year old newly married man, was brought in unconscious from a private hospital in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, where he had been admitted for eight days. Babangida summons for two-party system in Democracy message

Former Military President of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has said that setting up a two-party political system in Nigeria is crucial to building the nation’s democracy. Babangida, who made this comment in a message to Nigerians ahead of the May 29 Democracy Day celebration, stressed that he is worried about the country’s political structure and the absence of a clear-cut ideology by political parties. The former Military President alleged that democracy in Nigeria has been polarized in the last 18 years and therefore, he wants the nation to consider adopting a two-party structure as a way to solving many of its challenges.
